Laurie’s a writer and editor with a passion for short sentences, telling details, and an active voice. She helps clients develop business articles, blog posts, white papers, research reports, and books that establish them as thought leaders in their fields.
Before joining Rhetoriq, Laurie spent eight years developing thought leadership campaigns at Baker McKenzie, a global law firm. She produced content on business and legal topics, set the firm’s editorial standards, led writing workshops, and provided lawyers with writing tips through a widely read blog. She then spent two years at Bloom Group, a B2B thought leadership content agency.
Laurie started her career as a journalist, reporting for newspapers in New Jersey and Miami and serving as an editor at Crain’s Chicago Business. She has an MS in journalism from Columbia University and a BA in sociology from the University of Colorado.
